Frequently Asked Questions:
I receive a high volume of inquiries and although I love talking with clients, I have limited time between taking and editing photos to respond to every one so here is a list of frequently asked questions and some information about myself. If you have a question that is not answered here, please feel free to contact me. And of course, please contact to inquire about availability.
Q: Did you take all the photos on this website?
A: Yes, all photos on this website were taken and edited by myself.
Q: How long have you been a photographer?
A: I have been taking photos professionally for 8 years and for fun since my first 1980's 110 film camera. Although I was naturally inclined and drawn to (no pun intended) the visual arts, I was told to "get a real job" throughout my youth and early adulthood. After getting a hygiene degree and working in dental for 8 years, I quit my "real job" for photography and have not looked back since.
Q: Do you bring your own lighting setup?
A: Yes, I bring my own lighting gear and setup deemed necessary per the specifics of the location.
Q: Will you go to the location prior to the event?
A: If I have not previously covered an event at your venue, I will travel to the location prior to the event to assess and plan for preparation. I can meet with you in person prior to your event at the location as well, however travel expenses may apply to either situation depending on venue distance.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: I believe that each couple has their own story to tell and that every location has a unique feeling to convey. Therefore, I adapt the colors, tones, and mood to match each story. That said, I like to work with the natural light of the location to enhance the feelings of the event while incorporating artificial lighting tricks and techniques to illuminate the subjects in interesting and artistic ways. My photos have been described as moody rusty, light and airy, and bright and fun. Before your event or session, I will talk with you about your individual style preferences and other particulars in order to find the style that best matches your story.
